"Spin The Blue Fix"
by Jay Graboski
In 2008 with the release of Bricolage Jay
will mark 44 years since picking up a guitar and his 35th year as a
member of OHO (a Baltimore-based artistic collective of artists &
musicians revolving around a core membership of Jay and drummer, David
Reeve). "Spin the Blue Fix" is a sampling from this forthcoming DVD/CD
package that features 56 minutes of vintage video and 79 minutes of OHO
music spanning 1985-2007, of which 13 selections have never-before-been
released. Dirty Linen described OHO as sounding
"like Jefferson Airplane landing on Genesis, then taking a time machine
ride to play H.G. Wells' birthday party." About to embark on his
next musical adventure, Jay's music offers rare proof that the
unforgiving dragon of rock, with its vampiric appetite for youth &
novelty, can be slain by a wry eye and a chromed dome. www.ohomusic.com garbotzo@yahoomail.com
